The TOP Five Sit Down Restaurants in Tampico!

1. El Itacate. A Tampico tradition for 28 years serves great Mexican dishes
in a family environment. You must try the enchiladas suizas verdes (swiss
enchiladas in green sauce), the bisquetes (biscuits) and Itacates de cajeta
(Mexican carmel). You'll never want to leave but you can because they also
have carry out . Two locations on Calle 10 (10th Street) in Madero (across from the
PEMEX Regional Hospital) and soon in Lomas across from the BMW dealer.
Open from 6am to 10pm daily. English service available. tel (833) 215-0607.

2. El Asador. This is were you go to get grilled meats. The fajita and the
Tampiqueña style steak are great. Many locations but the one on Calle 5
(5th Street) right off Universidad is the best and has a neat stuffed bear.

3. Tera. Surprise, surprise, there are many sushi restaurants in Tampico but this
one is the best. Try the camerones Tera (Tera shrimp) and the Mount Fuji roll.
Tera also has a giant Buddha and a relaxed Asian feel. You'll forget your in Tampico.
In Plaza Herradura next to Subway.

4. Arenas del Mar. Located on the beach the location is fantastic overlooking a
pool and the Gulf in the background. This is why you came to Tampico in the first
place. The shrimp anyway you want is the way to go. Also, jaiba a la frank (Frank's
crab) is delicious. Sit back and soak up the sun. You can pay for the kids to go
swimming as well.

5. La Dolce Vita. The place to go for Italian. I like the atmosphere. There are two
locations. The one behind the HEB has a European feel and and the one by the airport is
modern and spacious.

Next I will give the top 5 quick eats.
